This is Step 1 of the Data Mapping wizard. In this step, you configure how employee profile data maps from your identity provider into Edplay by matching your provider’s attribute names to Edplay’s internal fields.

Required fields

The following three rows are already listed and cannot be removed:

Optional fields

Click Add field to add a new row, then pick one of these from the Internal field dropdown:
Edplay pulls the avatar image in automatically once a URL is mapped. The image must be publicly accessible.

Map your fields

Map the name field

In the name row, type the exact attribute name your identity provider sends for the user’s name into the External field box on the right (for example, displayName).

Map the email field

In the email row, type the exact attribute name for email (for example, email or mail).

Map the role field

In the role row, type the exact attribute name for role, group, or department (for example, role, department, or group).

Add optional fields (if needed)

Click Add field to add a new row. In the Internal field dropdown, select the optional field (for example, Avatar). Then, in the External field box, type the matching attribute name your identity provider sends (for example, photoURL).Repeat for every additional optional field you want to map.

Proceed to role mapping

Once all required rows have an External field value, click Next step to continue to role mapping.
